The Pennsylvania Land Title Association is committed to inform, educate and protect our Members!  Wire fraud, identity theft and ransomware are just a few of the cyber crimes that are crippling or closing title agencies across the United States.  We have centralized information from the American Land Title Association, the Federal Trade Commission, and the FBI’s Cyber Task Force's IC3.  Please use this information to educate yourself, your staff and customers on the different forms of cyber crime and the steps needed to avoid financial loss and the disclosure of nonpublic information.

The Federal Trade Commission is a governmental agency providing excellent information to help prevent phishing, ransomware, identity theft, and other forms of cyber attacks.  Links to cyber crime prevention information and to report fraud are on the FTC website.          
The FBI’s Cyber Task Force's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is the central place for reporting cyber crime. It is run by the FBI, the lead federal agency for investigating crime. Visit to file reports directly to the FBI’s IC3 webpage

    • Wire Fraud Tips Video Share this 1-minute video with homebuyers so they know how to protect their money.
    • ALTA Wire Fraud Video : This 2-minute video provides four tips on how consumers can protect their money and offers advice on what to do if they have been targeted by a scam. Link to this video from your website, include in your email or share on social media.
    • Have you been targeted in a wire fraud scheme? Video : File a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. Watch this video to learn how to complete the form:
