PLTA IN-DISTRICT LOBBY WEEK
May 7 - 11, 2018

The Pennsylvania Land Title Association (PLTA) is planning a week of lobbying in your home district the week of May 7-11, 2018. Visit your local legislators to educate them on our industry and get to know them for future issues. Legislation directly impacts how we do business. Without your input or information from you, Legislators may enact legislation that negatively impacts the title industry.

Participants can visit legislators individually or can be paired up with other members for joint meetings.  Register early so we can pair you with your lobby buddy.  If you have a buddy already, please include them in RSVP Comments with your registration.  Teams will be able to visit legislators in their home districts together.

Information and talking points will be provided along with a prep video meeting the week before the visits. Talking points for the day will include general information on who we are as a trade association and specific information on current hot topics that are in the process of becoming legislation: predictable recording fees and online notarization. This is prime time to get in front of our local legislators!

Assistance is available for setting up the meetings. Search for your representatives online, use your home address and visit www.legis.state.pa.us.

Once you register, lobbying visits take just a few simple steps!

1.    Schedule visits with local legislators.
2.    Obtain packets from PLTA and tune in for the Lobby Week video prep session.
3.    Make your visits the week of May 7 - 11!
4.    Return completed reports on your visits to the PLTA office.
