PLTA is a nonprofit organization comprised of the leading land title insurance underwriters and agents in the state. Our aim is to advance the science of evidencing and insuring title to real property and to educate our members through various seminars and other educational functions.
While title insurance itself has changed little since the first policy was underwritten and sold in Philadelphia in 1878, our industry continues to grow and evolve. PLTA was founded in 1921 to help advance the industry and to create bonds between various title insurance professionals throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
With Regional Chapters throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, PLTA succeeds in bringing the experience of title insurance professionals together to benefit the industry as a whole. We learn from one another, and we at PLTA hope that you may join us in furthering the land title industry as the next century begins.
